Use Matcha Powder to Make a Latte

Matcha lattes are a popular way to use matcha tea powder - and a really healthy and delicious replacement for your morning coffee (or in addition to your coffee)!

Matcha green tea lattes are also really easy to make! Follow the simple steps outlined below to make your own delicious matcha green tea latte at home…

  1. Add a big 1/2 - 1 teaspoon of Matcha Me matcha powder, depending on your taste.
  2. Add a little bit of hot water - enough to make the matcha into a wet paste-like mixture.
  3. Whisk the matcha green powder into a paste or thick syrup until all the powder has dissolved.
  4. Add warm frothy milk of your choice (soy milk is a personal favourite of ours)!


  • If you like it sweet, you can add the sweetener of your choice to the matcha green tea powder before dissolving, or after you’ve finished making your matcha green tea latte.
  • To get the perfect paste, we recommend using one of our matcha whisks (chasen).
  • If you have a milk frother, we recommend adding the matcha green tea paste mixture into your milk while its frothing for best results.
